Dade--1 Dem and two Independents

Palm Beach--2 Democrats I am sure, however not sure as to the third I thought there was 1 Rep.

Polvie,

I am fairly certain that the makeup of the canvassing board officials I described is accurate. I do not have any links handy, but I watched quite a bit of the manual recounts on the tube. I heard a number of references to the all democratic/majority democratic canvassing board officials in these four counties as those who will be divining votes & only 2 of 3 need to agree to divine a new vote or exclude one.

<EDIT> Here is info on PBC, although I won't vouch for this being a definitive answer.....

Item: What about obvious conflicts of interest involving the Palm Beach County Election Board? All members are registered Democrats. Member Carol Roberts has very close personal ties with Albert Gore, Jr., and visited Mr. Gore in Washington D.C. before the election.

The Palm Beach County Election Board therefore appears to be illegally composed of people who are all members of the same political party:

Florida Stat. ß102(2) Each member of the election board shall be able to read and write the English language...No election board shall be composed solely of members of one political party however, in any primary in which only one party has candidates appearing on the ballot, all clerks and inspectors may be of that party. Any person whose name appears as an opposed candidate for any office shall not be eligible to serve on an election board.

polvie,

FWIW, I watched a few hours of the divining of the disputed ballots. I'm sure that with the number of observers & cameras present, there would be little chance of overt fraud. However, my point was not that there would be overt fraud.

There are three canvassing board officials who divine voter intent & only two of three are needed to divine a vote in each county. Each of these counties has two or three democrats doing the divining & in two counties there are NO republicans on the canvassing boards, thus absolutely no voice in the vote divining process.

All it takes is for a bit of subjectivity (consciously or subconsciously) by these clearly partisan democrats & TA DA! We have opportunity to add a few votes here..... disallow a few votes there..... & after a few thousand contested ballots it begins to add up. Argue all you wish about the good in these people. They have shown themselves to the world to be highly partisan politicians. Their subjectivity will be tested with every dimple & every gray area where discretion & objectivity is needed.

Compounding this problem is my concern that these are specifically selected democratic strongholds where Al Gore has targeted a favorable place to harvest votes. I never bought the rhetoric about, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED! That was for the court of public approval. This mantra was often repeated & these meaningless words not backed up by their deeds in any way shape or form. If Al Gore wanted to have all votes counted, he would have asked for an entire state recount. After all, this was a federal election & the entire state voted.

These democratic strongholds had no alleged fraud or machine error during the two original machine counts.... a requirement to institute selective manual recounts. IMVHO, any votes divined in these counties are not representative of the Will of the People nor that ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!

Also, Al Gore would have never allowed the massive assault on the military vote if his mantra about ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED! is to be believed. In the slim chance he was not aware of that planned assault, he would have taken clear affirmative action to correct that travesty. He did no such thing!

Anyone who thinks that adding to Gore's statewide total vote count from these intentionally targeted counties represents a fair & equitable process is kidding themselves.

Did you watch the divining process?
