<<In any case I believe Gore should concede now. >>

Absolutely not. I would like to see a President that will fight to the end for what he believes in. The person that wants this office (and has the most votes ) the most should get it. Wimps need not apply.

In every sporting contest we admire the team or individual that fights till the very end. Why should this be different?

The lame excuses that I have read so far include the following.

1) Americans are tired of this... I say let them change channels.

2) We want closure to this whole thing....closure comes when you as an individual croaks and maybe not then.(untested theory)

3) When are we going to stop the recount?.... I say when every vote is counted properly.

4) This is affecting a stock market rally... I say the market's going to rally when its good and ready no amount of chad off or on the ballot is going to change things.

5) This will cause a Constitutional Crisis..... I say absolute bull. When Woodrow Wison was president he was deathly ill in the White House for over a year. During that time no one except his wife, personal secretary, and physician ever saw him. It is theorized that either his wife or his personal secretary signed legislation that went to the President's desk. The country did not fall apart, even though many Republicans wanted proof that he was actually alive.

This country is going to need a President with a tough skin willing to fight for what he believes in. If either Bush or Gore want to wimp out at this stage... please show him the door.

Votes counted several times. Are you sure all dimpled ballots are for Gore? More people in Florida went to the polls to vote for Gore but somehow they didnt get it done. The dems did themselves in. Miami broke ranks and didnt count. The idiots in Palm Beach, the home of the butterfly ballot, took Thursday off and then ran out of time. Only Broward came thru. In any case Bushs 500+ vote will stand. Without a recount all Gore could get back is about 200 in palm + 156 in Dade and 51 in nassau. Bush still wins by 100. In order to get more, the Fl. supreme court has to rule for recounts in Dade. IMO wont and shouldnt happen. It's over!
