Remember when Princess Diana Died?

Everybody was really pissed at the Press hounds. What did the Press do?? Blasted headlines the next day directed to the Queen Mother "SHOW US YOU CARE" the papers screamed as she was with her grandchildren trying to be of comfort. Nutty people jumped on the bandwagen with the press, protesting, holding signs etc... Press was molding attention away from them. It was an orchastrated effort.

Queen mother had to make a statement.

Just be careful what you read. The press is very clever.

Actually, I did malign her - unintentional but it was abuse nevertheless. That was some time ago and I did apologize when it was brought to my attention.

Karen and I were not discussing what is posted on SI. We were discussing what national opinion makers/ politicians/ journalists have been saying or writing. (I had just finished a nasty piece by Margaret Carlsen, thus my post.)

What passes for acceptable political discourse here and elsewhere on the internet is quite indefensible. I see no reason to defend anything that most people post to this and other threads. I chose to write to Karen as she appears to be one of the more balanced participants.

I am sorry, but I see no hypocrisy in not including comments about the Attorney General in our discussion of this election and subsequent events on a thread dedicated to that purpose. If you want to start a discussion about that subject, I am happy to join you, but I fear we would run out of things to say after agreeing with each other once or twice.

P.S. The spell-checker is telling me that "internet" is misspelled!?
