Maybe Tom is not your favorite. Doesn't matter. As long as PC buyers care, it has influence on the market.

Toms reviews do not contradict themselves. All tests are correct, and my conclusion on all three reviews are the same: P4 is too expensive and too slow for my use.

I would like to see a place on the internet, where you can get better reviews... good links are always good to know.

The biggest problem I have with Tom is that he compares systems of uneven price. I can buy 200 Athlon PCs for the price of 100 P4 PCs! It is not fair to compare a P4 with an Athlon. Athlon 1.1 GHz should be compared to P3 1.0 GHz. Because that's how budgets work.

And for high-end servers, there are plenty of alternatives to consider: Alpha, Sparc, and soon Itanium... Sun doubled their market share in Europe in one year. I really start to get interested in that company.
