Bud,
Does an AIM gathering in conjunction with a MS (or other) event make more sense than just an AIM gathering alone?

IMO, no but it worked. If you went back through all the posts on the AIM BB you would find that an AIM gathering was talked about many times. But it did not take place until we made it second fiddle.

I think that most of us came to this conclusion at the same time. In order to make the gathering a reality we had to have the following.

1. Tom Veale
2. An event that Tom Veale and others would attend (The Money Show). Something tied to investing.
3. A location with other available activities (Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco).
4. The trip could be considered educational, business and or vacation.
5. Participation by other experienced AIMer's, individual presentations etc.

I think most of us agree that we don't want a gathering without Tom. I'm simply gathering information for his consideration.

These are just my thoughts. If our group ever moves past the point of a "Bullentin Board" where we have a funded organization with elected officials and quarterly announcements. Then at that point we may be in a position to have some regional functions that don't require Tom's presence.

I feel very strongly about participating in the building of an organization that's sole purpose is to teach people the discipline of "Risk Management".

Nobody could ever come to the right conclusion by reading the title on Lichello's book, "How to Make $1,000,000 in the Stock Market Automatically!".
