A few years ago, at a Liberal riding association in Southern Ontario... That story is far from unique, and is applicable to all parties. Indeed, it is probably least common with the Liberals, where candidates come pre-fab, and the constituency associations just have to tighten a few screws. After the five minute assembly process, you couldn't tell the Honourable member representing Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey from the Liberal candidate in South Surrey - White Rock - Langley. Unfortunately, what plays in Peel doesn't seem to wash in White Rock. Of course, the Liberals don't really care what sells in Surrey, Sundre, Saskatoon, or Souris - as long as they have their majority east of Sault Ste. Marie. How does this differ from a dictatorship?
