Considering most people have begun their holiday in early Wed, IMHO, they has done above and beyond their duties. I don't necessarily see they *blew* it, since such wording is really politically loaded, isn't it :)? Like I said before, I am more concerned about their work attitude than the outcome of this thankless task, or the perception thereof. And aboard or not, I think people should leave SoS Harris out of it. Period. As far as FLSC is concerned, it certainly has some perception problem with some people. However, to me, it has been quite consistent, even before this election. I do not think it will extend the deadline based on the original verdict. However, there are contesting suits filed left and right, from both the Bush camp and the Gore camp. So the 7 justices will continue to be viewed by some as political hacks. Ultimately, all these may end up in USSC's lap. Maybe it is a good thing. At least, most people will be willing to abide by its verdict(s). Well, believe me, it will take a miracle to turn this thing around, but Gov Bush may be in a better position than it is for VP Gore, simply b/c there is less baggage and he can always sacrifice the old hatchet men as peace offerings :) Back to the stk mkt, I agree about the Fed. Unlikely that it may be, since Chm Greenspan did mention publicly that people should not expect the Fed to bail people out this time around, probably he didn't foresee this election mess. So, he has an excuse to renege on his words :)! I think easing to highly improbable, but (maybe) there is a chance the Fed will change the bias to neutral. That alone should help to give the street an excuse to rally. But of course, with my large position in NT, I really hope the Canadians run a better election than the Americans, else I am dead twice over =8O best, Bosco
