i think you're probably mistaken on both points.
you underestimate public support for a rock solid
conclusion, regardless of the amount of "legal wrangling"
it might take to get there.

no amount posturing, or trying to "look presidential"
will do.

and unless the USSC comments on something other than what's contained in the briefs, their decision will fall in a dead space.
tomorrow morning we're in the contest phase.
