No intelligent or fairminded person would think hand recounts are equitable or fair. Trying to manipulate to choose highly liberal black and jewish counties and then trying to count first and the most liberal precincts doesn't denote fair play. Then having people trying to "divine" what someone might have wanted to do is not fair. It is subjective and is the will of the counter more than the voter. It is exactly the program Josef Stalin endorsed. So, did gore learn from him? And, Gore and any other of you who defend the reprehensible act of trying to steal the vote of our fighting men and women deserve our utmost contempt and rejection. I don't even think you are a real American when you are willing to steal the vote of the people protecting your sorry *ss. Anyone who endorses that behaviour is a wimp, in my opinion. I get mad just thinking about it. Many democrats, who are loyal Americans, will leave the democrat party because of this despicable act.

TheLineMan, As was just mentioned, the Democrats control the canvassing board in FLA and the FLA supreme court. between them, they could only see fit to go to tonight and there was not enough time. Gore's own people decided to enjoy the holiday instead of chasing a rat down a hole for 4 days. Since laws within the FLA constitution has already been broken by the SC, it is likely over at this point. Gore's people can be as confident as they want. It was just Friday that they said that they had the votes and that Gore would be announced the winner tonight. tp
