MadDog,

I am not one of those individuals who believe the highest Court of our nation should be dragged into this election fiasco. For the very reasons you have eloquently brought up, the US Supreme Court will not provide the finality the nation is expecting. If anything, there is a reasonable chance the reputation of the US Supreme Court will be tarnished by electing to hear this dreaded case.

What a mess....

Regards,

The time constraints "issue" is a red herring, IMHO.
There is a time limit for everything.
Either they make it or they don't.
I live with time limits and deadlines on
a daily basis. It's the nature of the beast.

When I was a baby lawyer, I remember one of
my partners-2-be telling me about the importance
of timeliness. This had to do with a brief on an
evidentiary issue for trial. I didn't get it done
as soon as he desired. His comment was something
to the effect that it wouldn't do any good to turn
in in after the verdict was rendered.

On a larger scale, it's unfortunate that Florida
has become the center of attention. I would bet
that if every county's/precinct's/state's votes
were placed under the microscope, that irregularities
would be found everywhere.

The focus on three counties in one state as decisive
is rather ridiculous IMO.

BWDIK.
