YES, a won't that be GREAT, a MAJOR industrial demand! Problem is, the financial media simply won't report it! They are stuck in the party line mantra - "The rally is caused by the conflict in the Presidential Race" - stupid & short sighted.

Try giving shares of IBM as collateral for an inernational loan? Thanks, but no thanks! You forget a fundamental use of gold.

Richard;

While what you say rings true to an extent I think you cannot discount the psychology behind pricing. The recent climax top in technology growth company shares had nothing to do with fundamentals and everything to do with psychology. All it takes IMHO for a major rally in gold is the perception that it is a safe haven in a time of economic turbulence - the rest will take care if itself.
