Ted,

I don't know what the gain was at the time of my posting to you but clearly it was more than 1484. In fact the Secretary of State has certified a gain of 2841 for Gore.....as I understand it, most of those were gained during the first recount and do not include any of the Gore votes in Miami/Dade nor PB Counties that were gained during the hand recounts.

This page has all the disputed info: foxnews.com
It has the recount numbers that resulted with Bush lead by 300 votes. If you go back, add Gore's gains subtract Bush's gains you end up with Bush's lead of 1784.

Another source of info, CNN site shows Nov 7 count as Bush lead of 1725 (a slight discrepancy): cnn.com

I don't know where your info is from, but since the number supporting some major conspiracy theory of yours is flawed, would it be a stretch to assume that the conspiracy theory based on a flawed number is flawed as well?

Yes, but like I instructed you in my last post (see excerpt from above), when you get to that Bush website, go down to near the bottom of the page....there you will find the article in question and the referral to US News and World Report.

I did. All I found was an article of unknown origin on an anti-Bush site. To give it more legitimacy, there is a link to the home page of US News & World Report. I can write an article, add a logo + a link of US News & World Report and post in the web.

Joe

ted & Jozeph - I think you guys are arguing over the NET
GAIN in Gore votes vs. the raw gain in Gore votes.

But here's something I find interesting - even in Broward
county, Bush picked up MORE VOTES THAN GORE, adjusted for
the number of original votes for each candidate. Here's the
numbers:
BUSH GORE
OFFICIAL 'RECOUNT' NUMBERS: 177,323 386,561
HAND RECOUNT CHANGE: 579 1,146
FOREIGN ABSENTEE CHANGE: 37 53
CERTIFIED TOTAL: 177,939 387,760

In other words, for each 100,000 machine votes recounted,
Bush picked up 326.5 votes, but Gore only picked up 296.5
votes.

So, have at it, GORE! Let's recount the whole state! Doing
that should give Bush an extra 90 vote margin.

Indeed! If we did that across the whole country, your lead
in the popular vote would DISAPPEAR.

EDIT - with this kind of weak-fingered voting by
Republicans, it is highly unlikely that Gore would gain ANY
votes whatsover in Miami Dade, which had a 53:47 vote ratio.
Lots of elderly republicans in the precincts they saved for
last.
