Hi Tom

"Today my large cap fund went up, my medium cap went up and my small cap went up! Yet I had some stocks that went down."

I had the same thing with an S&P 500, Overseas and Tech fund but like you I had most stocks down except QCOM. Go figure?

I'm one of those Waiting; I have some long positions
that I haven't sold but only because they have CCs written
on them.
The overall market is in a downtrend and rotation is not
going to work in a downtrend , a few sectors go up but
they eventually concede the gains they made at the
expense of what was sold to get in them.
I called it a stealth bear market some time ago, and
I should have paid more attention to what I was saying.

Rotation can work in an up trend; but in a down trend
it only makes putting in a bottom take longer.
If the beat up Nasdaq does look like it's bottomed
and starts up then all those swing traders will try
to take profits from what they can to jump back into
tech. It will cycle until every thing drops at one time,
and it will nickel and dime the swing traders until
they run out of money.

I liked to choked this morning when I saw a A.G. Edward's
anal cyst recommend that people get out of "fixed income"
and go to stocks. I had some respect left for A.G. Edward's
until I heard that. Fixed income has already taken a
huge hit and if it keeps going down then the broad
market is going to die. But he wants them to rotate,
at the worst time there is to rotate what a crock of shit.

Hi Tom; Gee, the gloom is getting dark and deep on the SI market direction threads......there is even a new thread created to solicit people who have sad stories to tell...the originator purports to be a market reporter for MSNBC..seeking stories....you can look at it here:

Subject 37493

Maybe Oprah will schedule a show where real people can display their angst......oh well.

Regards, Bud
