anti-Semitism has reared its ugly head on the mod-squad again Just checked out the mod thread and yes, it has - and in spades! It is difficult to believe that in this day and age this sort of attitude can prevail in the US against the Jews. Recently, I had lunch with a friend who is a liberal democrat - and we were talking about Lieberman. He mentioned two mutual acquaintances of ours who are life-long Democrats but who had voted for Bush because they said the notion of a Jew as the Vice President was completely unacceptable to them. I was shocked since I know the people in question and would never have thought that they were capable of such bigotry. It did make me wonder how prevalent this sort of bigotry is within the mainstream - as opposed to just the kooks.
