Compaq's website has all of their P4 models not available until Mid December. Check it out: www5.compaq.com

The "page info" is:
Last Modified: Monday, November 27, 2000 6:13:50 PM Local time

In place of "configure and buy" button is a "coming soon" button.

Just checked Gateway.com None of their P4 systems can be ordered either. All the customization and ordering links point to OBJECT NOT FOUND.

For example, go here, gatewayatwork.com
They click on "choose a system"

...or go here gatewayatwork.com
and then attempt to click on "Go to E4600"

<Don't forget, total market is 120%. :)>

If Ashok Kumar is right about Intel writing down slower parts (and Ashok tends to be right on this kind of stuff given that he worked at Intel once and has probably has some very good contacts inside), current production between Intel/AMD/VIA is more than 100%.

Intel's market share seems to be about 81-82%
AMD about 17-18%
VIA about 1%
