The hard core Republican tactics have hardened his feelings on this issue. He knows the votes are there. Please don't give us another "I feel your pain" president. Now we have gone and hurt Al's feelings. No wonder he has to stand up and fight for our children. I will say that is a campaign promise already partially filled. "I want to fight.." Well, we just didn't know what all he would fight about. And to the second point "he knows (in his heart of hearts, no doubt) the votes are there..." That's how the counters are operating and given time Jesus' fish miracle will pale in comparison to new votes. Let him become a lobbyist.
