Right wing = conservative. (Left wing = Liberal/Progressive.) Fringe versus centrist? You may know Watts better than I do. Maybe he or Powell will replace Cheney. IMO Cheney's LT heart disease will keep him from finishing his term - if elected (G). Recently we've had 2 black, syndicated columnists in our mostly liberal Kenosha, WI paper. Rasberry (sp) voted for Gore, but now feels that for these divisive times, Bush would be the better "uniter". The other writer, also a Gore voter, felt that Gore should concede.
