Selectric II: Gore proposed twice to GWB to recount the entire state, for the sake of fairness. GWB and Baker said no. So what's Gore supposed to do after being spurned twice? Focus on Republican counties? The Bush campaign had a chance to recount the entire state and legitimize the election. But the Bush campaign said no. The strategy may pay off for Bush in the short run, but in the long run this tactic will hang over his short-lived presidency like a cloud of locusts.
