That slippery slope argument is a tired scare tactic. Society has change a lot since the days of old especially in big cities. Besides if the US Gov't and Army really ever did turn on its own people... you really think that your rifle or handgun is going to protect you these days??? not a chance. The constitution is not the bible. It is a document written by men (not that I really think the bible comes from G-D, but that is neither here nor there) and men are fallible. Hey we have a constitutionally guaranteed right to carry arms right? So answer me this. Why shouldn't I be allowed to walk around with a nuclear weapon???
