Raymond, Have some faith yet. In one respect, we all win [I hope]. We've all seen how absolutely archaic and ludicrous the balloting system is in many parts of the country. If nothing else, that should improve for the next election. We've survived every President good and bad, this one will be no different in the long run. At least from the polls, the large majority of people 80%+ are in the middle. That's not likely to change overnight. The conservative right wing, IMO, is self-destructive. Trent Lott is threatened with loss of control in the Senate, stuck between members that think he's been too soft [Death wishes on the First Lady are considered soft, I guess] and other conservative members that believe he hasn't been cooperative enough with the other side of the aisle. He and party character will have to go one way or the other and either way the idealogues lose. Best Regards, jttmab jttmab
