The only sad thing about that would be the continued aura of illegitimacy that the Dems would claim would haunt Bush. I think, though, that may be Gore's strategy now -- he knows he can't win, but he might be able to damage Bush.

You want to know what's REALLY funny? Gore's legal team is arguing that the US Supreme Court should stay out of the case on the basis of federalism principles. This from a Democratic party and administration that constantly trashes any concept of federalism.

It would be a laugh it it weren't so tragic.
