The Death Of The Democrat Party

Al Gore’s attempt to find a loophole into the Presidency and changing his objectives almost on a daily basis has shown the majority of the democrats how bad their candidate is. Most of the democrats see the light and are disgusted with Gore’s actions. Gore may single handily laid the deathblow to the democrat party. Nader’s Green Party captured enough Gore votes to raise a concern among democrats. Because of Gore’s actions since
Nov 8, you may see a lot more democrats vote the Green Party in 2004. At this point in time, I would say the majority of the democrats would vote the Green Party. Will there be another democrat President? From the first day after the election, I have been right on target about Al Gore. I will state for the record, concerning future Presidential elections,
there may be a Green Party President, before a democrat President. The democrat party has suffered a MAJOR public relations nightmare and people don’t forget. Gore should have conceded for the best interest of the country AND the best interest of his party. People forgive when there is only one party to choose, but Nader has provided the democrats an alternate choice now. Gore has crapped enough on his own people and they have another choice come 2004, that they wont have to forgive and vote democrat.

If we have learned nothing else from this debate, it is that a large segment of our population will never grant Bush legitimacy.

But I think that once the pundits start pundifying, and explain the Constitutional right/duty of the state legislatures to pick Electors, it won't seem any screwier than the Electoral College itself.

One thing I thought was interesting was the looks on the legislators' faces when the law professors told them that it was not only their Constitutional prerogative but also their duty, and only their duty, to appoint the Electors, not subject to any oversight by courts - you could see the light dawning. And of course politicians love power. Even the Democrats had a little gleam in their eyes. -g-
