Greg - it's almost surreal in how quickly Mr. Market can vaporize wealth. Everything is going back to a valuation of 1X earnings growth rate. At some future point the market will differentiate between the winners and losers and stockpicking will again be relevant, but in the interim, everything in techland is a loser. Uncle Alan is the Grinch that is stealing Christmas (hope it doesn't affect your record sales too much) and bringing to an abrupt end the productivity surge brought about by the expansion of the Net and BB. It should be against the law. Best,
JF3

Greg,

Thanks for the heads-up. I've had my short eye on CIEN for other reasons, specifically:

Message 14883415

But CIEN has not given me the entry I was looking for yet. I was planning to wait until both CIEN and the market rallied up a bit at least to the 10 DMA, but this news could be the catalyst for the fall of CIEN...........and then an earnings miss on 12/7 becomes more probable. CIEN will probably gap down, but maybe this is the time to jump in anyway.
