I agree with all that. Unfortunately, a Borders opened last week practically on top of my store. <gg> I need a new front to market activity. LOL I have only one problem with what is happening to my store. I have 2.5 years left on the lease. With what looks to me as over building of retail space, I'm in deep doo doo over having to pay that lease at $3,500 a month. My store will be just another in the long line of mom and pop stores to be put out of biz. in town. City Hall doesn't give a rats ass about anyone of the local stores that have given back to the community, and they still wonder what to do about the down town area. Their fix is to apply an extra tax to the very stores that are hurting so they can promote the downtown area while they allow more and more big box stores that are killing off the little guys one by one. St. Charles is so dumb to allow that Borders to open. Not only will it kill off the mom and pop book store and record store, it will hurt the already hurting two book stores and three records stores in the MALL right next to it, which hasn't been able to fill it's space after Ten Years. DUH!

There is going to be lumps of Coal in the Mullineaux stockings this year. <g>
