SGI Previews Graphics Clusters at I/ITSEC Trade Show in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla., I/ITSEC 2000, Booth 1252, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- SGI (NYSE: SGI - news), the world's leader in visual simulation technology, today announced that it is offering a sneak peek of its new SGI(TM) Graphics Cluster systems at I/ITSEC 2000, held Nov. 27-30 in Orlando.

SGI(TM) Graphics Clusters will support demanding real-time 3D applications in the training and simulation market through a suite of innovative features such as SGI(TM) Image Sync precision channel synchronization technology and integrated software such as multiprocess OpenGL Performer(TM) to increase performance and realism and SGI(TM) Advanced Cluster Environment (ACE) to simplify Linux® cluster administration. These features will be incorporated into a low-cost Pentium® processor-based system capable of driving multiple channels of high-resolution display through a cluster environment. Product deliveries are planned during the first half of 2001.
