Dan, <AMD give fairly clear guidance on their yields>

Define "clear." We already heard arguments from Elmer suggesting that AMD's yields are poor. We already know about the cancellation of Mustang and the extremely slow ramp-up of Dresden.

Hint: Good speed bins don't necessarily mean good yields.

Alibi Dan - Re: "AMD give fairly clear guidance on their yields, while Intel appears scared to death to let anyone find out what theirs are. Why is that?"

Because Intel is much smarter than AMD - isn't that obvious?

Intel doesn't disclose yields for fear of competitive disadvantage. AMD doesn't disclose because of embarrassment.
