don't you think that it would serve our democracy to prove that the election was not determined by third world style corruption?

Yes, absolutely. That is why the mystery of the 20,000 double-punched ballots in Palm Beach needs to be solved.

There is ample statistical evidence to believe that someone double punched these ballots to take 16,000 votes from Bush.

Re: "After CNN declared Gore the winner of Florida, there was a flurry of phone calls between the Austin and Florida. The numbers magically turned around and Bush ended up several hundred votes ahead by the end of the evening"

Are you hearing those voices again? Do you think they come from Florida?

Scumbria, <Given that the Governor is W's brother, and the top election official is W's campaign manager, don't you think that it would serve our democracy to prove that the election was not determined by third world style corruption?>

Prove to me that the election was determined by third-world style corruption. Innocent until proven guilty, you know.

Scumbria deserves as much credibility on his assertion about new votes in Florida as he has earned on the subject of AMS vs. Intel

Scumbria-

If a Mexican presidential election hinged on the results from a state where the governor was the brother of one of the candidates and the campaign manager was calling shots on which votes will and will not be counted, we would think it was just another example of business-as-usual in Mexico. After all, what good does it do to have a brother/governor and a Secretary of State/campaign manager if they can't help you out when you really, really need it?

What a role model this election has made out of us!

Come on... Florida was called for Gore because the exit pollers screwed up and gave Gore 80+ percent in Duval county, and also something in Tampa.

When this is all over there will be big time election reform. Since most corruption happens where you have people will full time government payroll jobs, and those places happen to be cities, and cities happen to favor one party, who do you think will benefit?

Scumbria - "The numbers magically turned around and Bush ended up several hundred votes ahead by the end of the evening."

i know facts don't matter to you, but AT NO TIME on election night (or since) was Gore leading in the vote count, even when the networks were projecting him the winner. So the numbers never "turned around".

if you care about accuracy at all.
