Making a contribution is one thing. Coordinating a campaign of a candidate from whom you are seeking an ambassadorship is an entirely different matter. The SOS should have excused herself from the process immediately due to her extreme conflict of interest.

Her stalling the recounts may ultimately prove the deciding factor, which will make the election permanently illegitimate in the eyes of half the voters.
