greg...."bad things happen to good people"...when they cause it themselves!!!!1

shorted cien 69-70....now trading at 73+....at the end of the day when the pros close their shorts from the 80+ range she will panic...

that is my thought about lynn (freeus)...might as well hand her a revolver with all chambers loaded and ask her if she is adept enough to win at russian roulette....

save her a seat at the mad hatters tea party....

i don't think she will every learn...tis truly sad...

Just wondering how powerful this over-due rally will be, when it comes, say, tomorrow. I have been shorting QQQ's in Nov as a way to counter-balance my mutual fund exposure. I don't carry any of those positions overnight, so I wasn't able to profit from the freakish sell-off afterhours today, from the short side anyway, since I didn't want to short at 65 near the close and carry overnight positions. The way I see it, we have quite a few items hanging over our head:

(1) tax selling will soon be upon us
(2) confession season is starting
(3) Alan Grinch is out to make a point that he was right all along when DJIA was 6k; besides, how else will he be able to afford a Manhattan flat on his wages
(4) Al Grinch can take a bite out of the market whenever he gives a press conference (btw, with plenty short money coming like old Joe Kennedy, the founder of the Kennedy Crime Family, did, who needs labor union money laundering operation)
(5) how many folks do you think are letting their trading discipline lapse in the past month under the pretense of the election uncertainty? what will happen when the market continues to sell-off after a head-fake when Bush is elected?

OTOH, I might just be contributing my fair share to the discussion group contrarian FUDometer since I bought 1000 shares of QQQ at 61 1/2 on fire sale :-)
