<Of course we may both just be grasping at straws.>

I seriously doubt it. We all know that even with a PC slowdown, AMD can continue increase their revs and market share. Now if only the rest of the market knew it, I wouldn't be in the PO HOWSE. Right before I'm ready to buy a house. Very bad timing ... but life goes on ...

AJ, Re: <...if AMD was way behind on their stated goal of 8 millionprocessors sold we would have seen some steep price cuts in time for the holiday shopping season...>

Yep -- sounds right to me. I'm wondering how come AMD announced 2Mth CPU out of Dresden last week -- or am I wrong?

I thought the 2Mth CPU was due out of Dresden in September -- or am I wrong? I don't remember seeing(or hearing) any different from 500 wafer starts per week and growing with 80% 1G or above that I thought I heard for Dresden back in July -- or am I wrong?

Give the wafers 1Q year to come out & I think they're still running light.(Close to 1M light, based on doubling by quarter.)

Please help my logic.
