There is one thing that I recognize as a wonderful indicator and that is I usually get the feeling at the right time but it is usually the wrong feeling. In other words, when I want to sell everything it usually means I should buy. When I want to double my holdings, maybe I should consider selling some. Difficult to do at times but, even though this lesson has cost me a tremendous amount of money. I now have learned.

STOLEN STUFF:

From: IQBAL LATIF Thursday, Nov 30, 2000 5:13 AM ET

I am going through right now some PM's. It seems no one on SI as it reads presently has ever owned stocks or will ever again touch technology again.. Please don't listen to this, normal people invest monies in good stocks and they rarely build huge cash positions, only those who never trade have this luxury, if you are going through pain, it is normal within the market, these secular declines are very reason that this bull market since 1995 has remained intact. When we saw 1000 on NDX 100 in Oct of 98 no one ever thought that we will see 5000 in 24 months, even after that until beginning of the year this whole period is referred as a bull market that is continuing since 1995 with some glitches as deep as 1000, today we are a part of that glitch the best to work it is strategies on options of the futures..

A normal investor would now hate AMD's TQNT's ARMHY ALA but we have been in these stocks at time wehn ALA was 21$, the tech move is a broad move and it has severely damage those who only made next on .coms or DOT based stocks, if one is diversified and have not sold naked options or borrowed huge on margin this is the time to learn what investing is all about, patience and ability to withstand this pressure. I rest assure you that everyone who tells you that you are only unlucky one with the stocks is 'just little short on truth' if he is right he has rarely traded..

The issue is that technology cycles are vicious and most of us (may be I am wrong every one is just a trader) are caught in the process of seeing the NOK's and TXN's INTC's being torn apart.. Will ORCL CSCO will see end of the light I don't think so, I have rarely been a part of .com phenomenon but have seen values in PMCS at 120 plus or BRCM yesterday at 89.. I still see stock market is about long term play and improvising on your returns by making good trades around your portfolio.. If everyone has cash as it seems soon we will see the results..
