Perhaps you could identify the errors in the article with supporting sources, e.g. court transcripts.

Bill, the author makes his point by letting the Republican court briefs speak for themselves. Is he misquoting them?
If so, which passages specifically?

An ad hominem attack on someone who makes an argument you don't like is not an effective way of refuting the argument.
