Morning Steve,
I'm glad to see the AIMers still have some humor. It's getting to be a rare commodity on some threads. "WADING" in Lake Superior means getting in all the way to one's ankles! I remember when my brother and I were on Lake Superior one summer when we were both in our early teens. We talked two young ladies into swimming with us from the steam ship we were on. (the SS Norgoma) Well, my brother jumped in first. When he surfaced, he remained very calm and said in a muted voice, "God this is GREAT, come on in!" I went next. I immediately had a much higher regard for my brother's abilities at keeping a poker face! Well, I reproduced my brother's calm as best I could and said something about "getting used to it." So, the two girls jumped in together.

Seriously, we had to help the one girl out. She went into complete panic when her skin told her this wasn't bath water!!! I've jumped into snowbanks naked (not a pretty sight!) with the temp at zero F. but nothing feels quite like the cold of Lake Superior in June!

Posting must be lower than usual as well as the AIM thread has shown up on the HOT SUBJECTS list a few times recently. Low posting level is another corollary to dying speculation.

Best regards,
tom@gallowshumor.com
