Tony - Re:

Comm chips 10%
Server chips 10%
Network and comm hardware (NICs, hubs, routers) 5%
Embedded 3%
Other 7%

Looks like a good WAG to me but add:

Flash memory 5%

I seem to recall that Niles said about September, that if the market softens, AMD would be "Roadkill". It will be interesting to watch. Niles has always claimed that he was never dealing on inside info, so that reg FD would not effect him, as it does other Analysts.

I think it is safe to assume that a some of the nervousness in the majority of analysts is because of Reg FD.

Cramer has an article on this in thestreetdotcom. His conclusion seems to be that an analyst who is now suddenly blind, must downgrade to protect his job, ie it is better to be wrong on the downside, short term.

They are like someone who is driving along and a sudden rainstorm blinds the road. What do ya do, you slow down and pull over.

Since individual informed investors can see the road ahead, because we are used to driving with limited vision, we just pass 'em on the left. :)))
