Jim, I think the QQQ around 50 would indicate a solid bottom. Not sure if it will see that price, no way to tell with the VaR so out of whack....in the meantime, this is a hit & run market....I bought some DOW calls this morn, figuring it would get a bounce...boy, was I wrong...took a loss...bought some puts when I realized my error, and it is going south big-time...this is getting ugly.
The SPX is only 200 points away from FED fair value, so that may be another set floor point.

Here is Don Wolanchuk's attitude of the market stolen from his board on RB:
"...that 4 yr cycle low will be a headache....and wat the hey is a headache...but the naz has every body focused on 2500 as key support...fibonacci studies suggest 2300 is the target from there the wave structure wud still be set up for a 3rd wave melt up...this is classic bull market action....as the boyz are shaking the tree real hard for inventory....in 1991 the dow went sidways for over a year and in early december a very ugly shake out took place then it went straight up....."

Just another opinion.
Enjoy,
Chisy
