John - Re: "the self-declared winner lost the popular vote but won based on some old colonial holdover (electoral college) from the nation's pre-democracy past. "

The Rule Of Law is the LAW - our US Constitution.

The Electoral College IS THE LAW.

You can't advocate upholding "The Rule of Law" and at the same time try to destroy the existing laws.

To do this (destroy existing laws) is "Zimbabbling" thinking at its best.

Paul

Re: "I got the following in an e-mail"

John we could spend forever making analogies. Why not whine about the reigning political party's candidate losing the election, losing the recount, having the 100% stacked Florida SC rewrite the law give extra time to favor their guy who already lost twice, do a recount in hand picked counties specifically chosen to favor their man, change the rules repeatedly after the election was over, have their Democratic election officials divine the intention of the questionable ballots, have their Democratic officials be the final judge of the ballots, have their party distribute instructions on how to have military ballots rejected while claiming "we just want to make sure all the votes are counted". All this and their man still lost. Now after official certification the loser is today appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court to once again ignore the Constitution and have the SC prevent the Florida Legislature from exercising their power by appointing the Electors should the loser keep the election results tied up in court. This is so pathetic even I am getting really embarrassed for this pathetic human being. Is there no humiliation he won't subject himself to? It's over. Plain and simple. It's over. Get over it.
