RE: Last year even cnbc nailed an analyst for taking credit...

Michael,

I was amused yesterday when Maria B. gave a bunch of credit to ML's Fortuna for his GTW caution on 4Q. She didn't mention that he upgraded the stock less than two months ago (10/3) at around $50 and was reiterating his Buy rating yesterday with a new $45 price target. She could have also mentioned that in July he had an $85 price target on GTW with a lower rating.

Earlier in the month she touted that Fortuna raised his price target on Dell ahead of earnings. She told viewers that ML was bullish on Dell when the people who listened to and participated on ML's morning call that morning might have drawn a different conclusion. Fortuna was ridiculed about his Buy rating on Dell on ML's morning call. BTW, he still has a Buy rating on Dell.
