Dan, <Have you *seen* the Xbox demo, or specs? Be careful.>

Specs and demos are nice, and the XBox might indeed be "twice as powerful" as the Playstation 2. But make no mistake about it, right now Sony has a huge advantage in terms of software support and sheer mindshare. Ask any Joe Schmoe on the street, and he's more likely to have heard about PSX2 than XBox.

Things can change indeed, but as of now, it's Sony's market to lose. And despite the inability to meet demand, it doesn't look like Sony is vulnerable at any angle.

Heck, even Nintendo still has a lot of mindshare left, particularly thanks to popular game titles like Pokemon and Mario. Microsoft in comparison has a much bigger challenge ahead of it, and nice specs or neat-o demos will not be enough to tackle that challenge.
