Joe,
re: If Nasdaq went up 100% back to it's all time high, and if AMD followed, I would be content with "market perform". <g>

I'm afraid the Nasdaq will take a very long time to get back to its all time high, so it'll take a little more than just "market perform". Strangely enough - amidst all the current turmoil that we face now and probably will face in near future - I'm confident that AMD will be able to do exactly that next year even if Intel rages a price war! Now I know that one shouldn't invest based on what is written on some HW news sites but I agree with JC that there's been a lot of good news lately as far as chipset support is concerned. And if the Register reports about isotopically pure silicon and core enhancements are correct Palomino will be a P4 killer. I can't get rid of the feeling that something big is shaping up. It's about the virtual Gorilla that Jerry described ... something like AMD getting near critical mass; i.e. each announcement of chipsets, motherboards, RAM adds to AMD's weight and will help it become a full grown gorilla itself who is able to seriously knock-out Intel.

Best of luck to all,
ABurner
