It's not that difficult! Damn...You represent groups of people that get paid more than you deserve by aggressive and violent acts against employers. Otherwise the shutdown of operations that cause losses. In that way the consumers lose because of your costly actions or the consumers lose twice because your intimidating actions are successful.

I was a Union VP and loved negotiations with democrats. We all knew what the deal was before we even went to the negotiations and made our case. It was a charade. I did notice that a Democrat governor told employees that only the unions would get a better raise. If you weren't aligned you got little or nothing.

I did also notice when negotiating with the Republicans that took over was very different. They rewarded results. Yes some aligned groups got more than others. Merit raises for the non-aligned worked well to sort out the rif raft.

So a different story...

flap, I have been in at least 4 different unions myself. I ws in California when Reagan as Guv. pretended to be Hitler. He sent CPPs and County Sheriffs to bludgeon unarmed men and women who were lawfully on strike. After 6 weeks of that, our union returned to work at less pay than we were getting before.

I have also seen my union leaders cut a deal with management to intimidate the uneducated into taking a 20% paycut for fear the jobs would disappear.

Those that look for true justice on this earth wage a futile war, IMHO. However, we must each wage our individual fight within and hopefully do the best we can.

While I wholeheartedly accept and respect your right to express your personal opinions, I reject your self-proclaimed and arrogant proclamation to speak on behalf of anyone other than yourself. It is nothing more than your own views, without a mandate from anyone, as you finally have admitted.

And I couldn't care less whether you're a Roosevelt Democrat. As a matter of fact, from my study of Roosevelt's democracy, his court-packing schemes and many other proposals that were held unconstitutional, and I should think that thinking people would shy away from that moniker these days.

It was World War II that finally brought the country out of the depression, according to my 83-year-old WWII veteran father who was a Phi Beta Kappa historian and landed on France's shores shortly after D-Day.

Finally, I've also clocked in and out alongside with union workers. So, what? You're living in another era, Flapjack. Have a great evening.
