Jay Chen: **OT** I saw your post on the Collapse of 2001 thread...

I have a more sinister view as to how analysts like Abbey Jo earn their paychecks. I think they are nothing more than paid touts for the big boys. The houses trot them out with scripts in hand during bull markets. As the big boys walk the market up these scripted analyst build their respective reputations.

Once the overall market has been run up well beyond reason and the general public has been sufficiently programmed, those same analyst are used to continue to tout the market on the way down at opportunistic counter trend rallies. Using reputations built during the bull-run, they continue to draw individual investors in to harms way.

By the time the downturn has run the intended course, the reputations of the analyst will be fairly stained. Of course, the whores will have been well paid and set for life. The big boys will string up a new set of puppets (analyst) for the next round trip.
