ed - *ot* I also own a Lotus Esprit - the pre-GM car with Lucas electric. The adventure starts when you insert the key - will the car start? Will the wipers come on when you hit the light switch? Lucas added a whole new dimension to the motoring experience.

Ed, *OT*

How true, I always remember how one car wag said Lucas 'were the folks that invented darkness' <ggg>. Don't forget to include Fiat in that 'Pantheon' of quality. I used to own a 124 Spider that I really liked because I bought it as a weekend toy only. Great little motor and shifter, but the headlights would dim till almost off at night, and then snap back to full brightness. Also, there were sparks under the dash when I turned the windshield wipers on.

Regards,
John
