Jim,<<<What technicality did GW Bush win on? >>>

When after you count all the votes that is defined to be legal and more votes go to your opponent and you are legally elected - that could arguably be called winning by a technicality.

What is wrong with looking at the reality of the situation?

Why do you have to create logic to fit your preference?

Why does what actually happened have to fit the way you want things to happen?

One may not have anything to do with the other.

At this point, or maybe at any point, I really didn't have a strong preference for one over the other. I did have a slight preference for George W. Bush over Al Gore. I thought his less confrontational personality was more fitting for a President of the United States.

I have now lost much of my respect for either one of these guys.

Now I am more interested in the well being of the country and that we get out of this mess with as little damage as possible.

It is impossible at this point (in what you fellows call a p*ssing contest) to eliminate all the garbage that is being thrown about. Both parties are guilty. Nobody comes out smelling good.

I want the fairest outcome. I want an outcome that can't be repudiated by embarrassing exposure later on.

We can live with a crippled Executive branch for the next 4 years - nothing is going to change that much.

We did okay the last 8 years even though our President's character was a joke.

We can get over this.
