I know for a fact that Gore won't win. The GOP has promised to hijack the election if Gore comes out ahead in the Florida recount.

Eight years of Clinton/Gore have shown that the best way to win (in any political contest)is to concentrate only on the here and now and ignore the larger ramifications. The gorons will do whatever is necessary to win. The immediate consequences are not important because the American people can be counted on to promptly forget the cause of the rancor before the next election. The Congress will have to go along or be tagged "partisan" and "do-nothing" and "extremist". The repubs. need to learn to fight like this. The FL contest has provided some encouraging evidence that some in the party are beginning to grasp these concepts. JLA
