<< 104.047 Absentee ballots and voting; violations.--
(2) Except as provided in s. 101.62 or s. 101.655, any person who requests an absentee ballot on behalf of an elector is guilty of a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084. >>

I don't know what others will argue, but I will argue that the above has nothing to do with anything. The case has nothing to do with someone else requesting an absentee ballot on the behalf of an elector.

What relevance am I missing?

Oh, I love it, I love it! Sometimes you wonder whether there is a time bomb out there ticking away that you don't know about. This is a big fat softball, and I am going to hit it out of the stadium, but you won't admit it. You're like the snake with its head cut off, you're dead but you don't realize it and you won't admit it. But you're still dead in the water!

I am going to break this down into tiny, tiny bits, but I won't be a bit surprised if you don't realize you are dead, believe me.

1. No one requested an absentee ballot on behalf of the voter.

2. The voter requested his/her own absentee ballot.

3. The voter requested his/her own absentee ballot using a form that the Republican party sent him/her.

4. Other voters requested his/her own absentee ballot using a form that the Democrat party sent him/her. This is a common practice.

5. The county election officers sent the ballots directly to the voters.

6. No one but the voter marked his/her ballot.

Sorry, you lose. But I don't expect you to agree with me. -g-

[Small print legalese for the benefit of SI management - by "dead" I did not mean physical death, I meant the argument is dead on arrival.]
