The courts will not void an election - or a large block of votes - because of an insubstantial technical deficiency in simply the application process.


You may be right. But there is an important difference in the cases: everyone agrees that the Palm Beach County ballot was a screwup, not fraud.

For elections officials to give preferential treatment to one party over the other, which happened in Seminole and Martin counties, is a different kettle of fish and might not be viewed as a mere technicality.
