There is no excuse for Clinton's actions. He broke faith with the American People on that one.

Still, Scumbria's point on Iran-Contra has some merit too. Remember that Casper Weinberger, now President or Editor in Chief or something of Forbes, was pardoned for certain issues regarding "honest testimony" before congress. Many defended much done during that whole event because Casper and Ollie North and others were "patriots" acting in the interests of "National Security". Bill, on the other hand, has some kind of problem with sex, sex, sex.

I can't say I am really pleased with either situation...nor do I want, at this point in time, to try to judge which broader fact situation is (was) more damning for the Country.

Hey, how about that Rambus? Seems the press and analysts are beginning to feed at the Rambus trough. Dave, remember our old debates about how Rambus PR was so lousy. They have certainly improved in some areas (although their conference calls still stink). Relations with the press seem to have improved <g>

Dave,

So Gore is tainted by his association with the blow job liar, but Bush is not tainted by association with the Iran-Contra liar?

Dave, so far as I know, no court has determined that Billy actually lied under oath (about the blow job), the house indicted, but the Senate let him go free. Thus, like OJ, we really do not know if he lied under oath, as i mentioned to you before, there are some schools of thought (religions) that do not consider a "blow job" a "sexual relationship", and while a cigar might be considered by some Freudian schools to be a "phalic symbol", I doubt that any court will grade that activity as "sexual relations". What has that to do with the price of the "Bu$$". Furthermore, why have we not seen anyone congratulating Bilow for an excellent call on the Bu$$ Thursday late in the afternoon? If no one else does, then here it is: "Carl, a prescient call, congrats".

Dave,

Clinton was subject to a six year long political inquisition. Was he supposed to cooperate with the nice folks in the Congress who were violating his Constitutional rights?
