Hi Tazio,

Although I am a lawyer by profession, not all lawyers are egocentric..my particular practice is a general one geared to dealing with the people purchasing and selling homes, businesses etc and some civil litigation as well...I do however, enjoy watching the premier litigation lawyers at work...really an art form to me..

Anyway, yes, I agree that the election has been drawn out and from my perspective as an investor, it is particularly distressing...I would like nothing more than a quick resolution, even if it means Bush winning :)

Part of the problem in my view is the built in systemic problem with tabulating results in some states....it appears that the scanners used to read these cards and the cards themselves combine to create a 1-2% errror rate in reporting results...this coupled with short deadlines for filing appeals and the short transition period between the election and the Inauguration, leaves the policitians and lawyers looking opportunistic and overly agressive...simply put, the counting system used in Florida for ballots created a problem of determining a true winner when the results are within the margin of error built in to the process...FWIW, listening to the arguments today, i am getting a sense that the Judge was not particularly persuaded to order a partial recount of the ballots...the hearing continues tomorrow...

Taz, please post here as often as you like...

P.S. Poet, thank you for the kind words...I would come to your aid in the latest diatribe from wstera but you seem to be doing just fine..
