Pam, I don't know how to turn off the pw box. Maybe you can find something under Networking? I'm not the brightest poster here, so here's hoping one of THEM will help you.

Gottfried :)

How do I disable the Networking Password box that pops up every time I start my computer. I don't need it, and it's annoying! Any ideas?

In Control Panel, go to Password properties, then, in the User Profiles tab and check off All users of this computer use the same preferences and desktop settings

( I think it's the same in Win95 and Win98. )

I just duplicated your problem so I guess this would be the fix.Go to Control Panel/Network/Primary Network Logon/enable Windows Logon and reboot and if Windows asks for a password ,ignore it and just click ok and the next time you reboot it should no longer ask for one.Hope I am remembering correctly.
