The judge(who is a good ole boy) will probably focus on his '98 ballot mistake rather than the real issue:

TG, I assume that you meant to say that the undervote rate is not the same between the two. I think that you are right that the judge will focus on the '98 ballot mistake, but I wanted to get CoBlue's opinion as a lawyer. The mistake was a big one , and therefore it would be easy for the judge to zero in on it and ignore everything else.

Like you, I believe that the final result of the election is a done deal (Bush victory). However, I am still very interested in seeing how these final few scenes of the play turn out. My best guess is that Sauls gives Gore the 215 votes from Palm Beach and says that's it. Gore will appeal, but time will run out on him. I don't think that Gore will go gracefully, but he may surprise me.
